The Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens, once part of the Public Gardens, were transferred to the Bastide.
Open to the public since 2003, they were conceived and designed by the architect François Jourda and the landscape gardener Catherine Mosbach. The railings that enclose it were created by Mosbach and Pascal Convert.
They recreate most of Aquitaine's natural environments. A large stretch of water was created to bring together many varieties of aquatic plants. The flowerbeds group plants together thematically.
